This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, verify a release, pull official booking records, release anyone, post bond, change a court date, or give legal advice. Use the official office or locator that controls the record.
Conejos Jail Records
For a Conejos County Jail release, begin with the Conejos County Sheriff's Office or jail. The research did not confirm public lobby hours or a public online recent-release feed, so call before traveling or relying on search snippets. If phone staff cannot provide the detail you need, ask for the records custodian process for a Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act request.

County Sheriffs of Colorado also lists Sheriff Garth Crowther with a mailing address of P.O. Box 37, Conejos, CO 81129, and the same phone number. For a release-record request, provide the person's full name, date of birth if known, booking or case number, approximate booking date, and the release date or time window you are trying to confirm.
Where To Route Requests
Different systems answer different release questions. A local jail release, a court bond order, a CDOC discharge, a probation sentence, a federal release, and an ICE transfer are not confirmed by the same office.

Court And Probation Contacts
Conejos court records often explain why someone left jail, especially when release followed bond, dismissal, time served, sentencing, probation, or a transfer order. Use the Conejos Combined Court for clerk records and certified copies. Use Conejos County Probation when the court placed the person on probation in the 12th Judicial District.

State And Federal Locators
Use state and federal systems only when the release event belongs there. A Conejos jail booking does not automatically create a CDOC record. A CDOC result does not confirm a county jail release. A federal or immigration transfer must be checked through federal or immigration channels.
- CDOC offender search: search by DOCNO, last name, first name, and gender for Colorado prison cases and some release or parole fields.
- CDOC parole-board calendar: use for scheduled parole-board hearings, not as proof of physical release.
- Colorado VINE: use for participating custody-status feeds and release notifications. Colorado-local sources list COVINE at 1-888-263-8463.
- Colorado court docket search, court records access guide, and CoCourts: use for docket entries, registers of action, and court-record access.
- CBI sex offender registry: use only for qualifying registry records, not as a general released-inmate list.
- BOP inmate locator: use for federal prison custody and release status.
- ICE detainee locator: use for current ICE custody or CBP custody after more than 48 hours.
Records Fees
Colorado public-record fees can apply to release records, booking records, court records, and copy requests. The Colorado Attorney General lists hard copies at $0.25 per page and staff time at $41.37 per hour. Colorado Legislative Council confirms the $41.37 maximum hourly research and retrieval fee effective July 1, 2024. Ask the office for a written estimate and whether a deposit is required before work starts.
